    How it works

FocusTez is a free Pomodoro timer built for long study and work sessions. Press Start to begin a 25-minute focus session; when it ends, an alarm plays and a 5-minute break begins. After four rounds you get a longer 15-minute break. Every length is adjustable in Timer settings, and your choices are remembered.

Layer ambient sounds such as rain, cafe chatter, fireplace, waves, birds or white, pink and brown noise. They are generated in real time with the Web Audio API, so they loop seamlessly and use no data after the page loads. Add tasks, track pomodoros per task, and watch your daily focus minutes and streak grow.

    FAQ

    What is the Pomodoro Technique?

A time-management method where you work for a fixed interval (classically 25 minutes), take a short break, and take a longer break after four intervals. See our Pomodoro technique guide.

Will the timer keep running in a background tab?

Yes. The timer uses the real clock, so it stays accurate even if your browser slows down background tabs, and the remaining time is shown in the tab title.

    How do desktop notifications work?

Open Timer settings and tick Desktop notifications. Your browser will ask for permission; once allowed, you get a notification when each session or break ends.

    Is my data stored anywhere?

Tasks, settings and stats are saved only in your browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded.

    Why don't sounds start automatically?

Browsers block audio until you interact with the page. Click Play sounds or any sound to start.
