How it works
The 50/10 method gives you 50 minutes of focus followed by a 10-minute break, with a 30-minute long break after four rounds. It suits tasks that need warm-up time, such as writing, programming, problem sets and design work.
If 50 minutes is hard at first, start with the 25-minute timer and build up.
FAQ
Is 50/10 better than 25/5?
Neither is universally better. 50/10 gives longer stretches of flow; 25/5 is easier to start and better for tiring days. Try both and compare.
What should I do in a 10 minute break?
Stand up, stretch, drink water and look away from the screen. Avoid starting anything you can't easily stop.
